The Scorpion King: Book of Souls

A 2018 American fantasy action film directed by Don Michael Paul, it is the fifth and final installment in the "Scorpion King" series. The story is set in ancient Egypt, where the ruthless warlord Nebserek (Peter Mensah) comes into possession of the cursed sword, the "Fang of Anubis," which absorbs the souls of its slain victims, their names forever sealed in the legendary Book of Souls. Meanwhile, former Scorpion King Mathayus (Zach McGowan), having lost his kingdom, is captured by Nebserek’s forces. He is rescued by the Nubian princess Tala (Pearl Thusi), daughter of King Balthazar, who seeks his help in finding the Book of Souls—the only artifact capable of breaking the sword’s curse. Along their journey, they are joined by a massive clay warrior named Enkidu (Nathan Jones) and his guardian Amina (Katy Louise Saunders), who is revealed to be the living embodiment of the Book of Souls. Together, they face Nebserek’s hordes, battle through ancient temples, and uncover mystical secrets. In the climactic battle, Mathayus challenges Nebserek, destroys the sword, and frees the trapped souls, while Tala ascends as the new queen.
