Tom and Jerry: Robin Hood and His Merry Mouse

Tom and Jerry: Robin Hood and His Merry Mouse is a 2012 American animated action-adventure musical comedy film produced by Warner Bros. Animation and Turner Entertainment Co. The film is dedicated to the memory of Earl Kress, a writer and supervisor who passed away on September 19, 2011, from liver cancer. The story follows Robin Hood (Jamie Bamber) and his loyal companion Jerry, who, along with their band of merry men, attempt to ambush a tax money transport passing through Sherwood Forest. However, it turns out to be a trap set by the Sheriff of Nottingham (Charles Shaughnessy), the right-hand man of Prince John (John Michael Higgins), accompanied by his henchcat Tom. Thanks to Jerry's advance warning, Robin summons his men, and they successfully seize the gold transport. The Sheriff deduces that Robin has a spy inside the castle who uses Jerry to convey information and tasks Tom with capturing the mouse to expose the traitor. Meanwhile, Robin asks Jerry to deliver a love poem to Maid Marian (Grey DeLisle), his secret love interest and informant. However, Marian is under Tom's watchful eye, and he attempts to thwart Jerry but fails. The Sheriff organizes an archery tournament to trap Robin, offering a kiss from Marian as an additional enticement. Despite his men's misgivings, Robin decides to participate. During the tournament, Jerry, chased by Tom, accidentally helps Robin win, but he is immediately unmasked and captured along with his men. Jerry manages to infiltrate the castle to free his companions but is caught by Tom. During these events, Marian is exposed as Robin's accomplice and placed under arrest. Tom, realizing the injustice, frees Jerry, and together they help Robin and his men escape from prison. In the climactic battle, Robin and his band confront Prince John and the Sheriff, thwarting their plot against King Richard (Clive Revill). Ultimately, Prince John and the Sheriff are arrested, King Richard returns to the throne, and Robin Hood and Marian marry. Tom and Jerry are knighted for their services.
