The 1993 American romantic crime drama directed by Tony Scott, written by Quentin Tarantino, follows Clarence Worley (Christian Slater), a comic book store clerk and Elvis Presley enthusiast, who meets Alabama Whitman (Patricia Arquette), a prostitute hired by his boss as a birthday present. After Alabama confesses her feelings, they marry. Clarence decides to free Alabama from her pimp, Drexl Spivey (Gary Oldman), killing him and inadvertently taking a suitcase full of cocaine instead of her belongings. The couple heads to Los Angeles to sell the drugs through Clarence's friend, aspiring actor Dick Ritchie (Michael Rapaport). However, the mafia, to whom the cocaine belongs, begins to pursue them. The film features Dennis Hopper as Clarence's father, Clifford, and Christopher Walken as mobster Vincenzo Coccotti. Notable scenes include the intense exchange between Hopper and Walken's characters, as well as memorable supporting roles like Floyd (Brad Pitt), Dick's laid-back roommate. Hans Zimmer's soundtrack and the film's stylized visuals contribute to its status as a cult classic, blending romance, violence, and dark humor.
