A 2013 American crime comedy film directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber. The film follows David Clark (Jason Sudeikis), a small-time marijuana dealer whose clientele includes chefs and bored housewives. One day, he is robbed of his stash and money, leaving him indebted to his supplier, Brad Gurdlinger (Ed Helms). To clear his debt, David agrees to Brad's proposal to smuggle a large shipment of marijuana from Mexico into the United States. Realizing that a lone man might raise suspicion at the border, David devises a plan to create a fake family. He convinces his neighbor, stripper Rose O'Reilly (Jennifer Aniston), to pose as his wife, and recruits teenager Kenny Rossmore (Will Poulter) and homeless girl Casey Mathis (Emma Roberts) to act as his children. Together, they embark on a trip to Mexico in an RV, portraying the Miller family. After collecting the drugs, they head back to the U.S., but their RV breaks down unexpectedly. They are picked up by the Fitzgeralds, a family of three: former DEA agent Don (Nick Offerman), his wife Edie (Kathryn Hahn), and their daughter Melissa (Molly Quinn), whom the Millers met at the border. The Fitzgeralds agree to give them a lift to a repair shop, but it turns out to be closed, forcing the Millers to spend the night with them. As events unfold, the "family" encounters various comedic and dangerous situations, including confrontations with real drug dealers and the ongoing need to maintain their facade. Throughout these adventures, the fake family begins to bond, reevaluating their lives and relationships with each other.
