Danny Boyle directed and Alex Garland wrote this 2002 British post-apocalyptic horror picture. The story begins with a group of activists releasing infected chimpanzees from a research laboratory, leading to the spread of the "Rage" virus, which causes uncontrollable aggression in those infected. Twenty-eight days after the outbreak, the protagonist Jim (Cillian Murphy), a bicycle courier, awakens from a coma in an abandoned London hospital. Wandering through the deserted city, he encounters the aftermath of the pandemic and meets other survivors: Selena (Naomie Harris) and Mark (Noah Huntley). Together, they strive to survive while avoiding the infected. Later, they are joined by taxi driver Frank (Brendan Gleeson) and his daughter Hannah (Megan Burns). The group heads toward a supposed safe haven, where they encounter Major Henry West (Christopher Eccleston) and his soldiers. However, they soon discover that the military has its own plans for the survivors, leading to conflict and a struggle for survival. The film explores themes of human nature, survival, and morality under extreme conditions.
