Underworld

An American horror film released in 2003, directed by Len Wiseman. The plot centers on a centuries-old war between vampires and werewolves (Lycans). The main character, Selene (Kate Beckinsale), is a vampire and skilled "Death Dealer" who hunts Lycans. She discovers that the Lycans are interested in a human named Michael Corvin (Scott Speedman) and decides to protect him. In the process, Selene uncovers that vampire leaders are hiding the truth about the origin of the war. Michael is revealed to be a descendant of an ancient lineage whose blood can unite vampires and Lycans. Selene and Michael become targets of both factions as they try to uncover the conspiracy and end the feud. The film is known for its gothic atmosphere and dynamic action sequences.
