BTS

South Korean music group formed in 2010 by producer Bang Si-hyuk under the label Big Hit Entertainment. Initially conceived as a hip-hop group, the concept evolved into an idol group emphasizing self-expression and member involvement in music creation. They debuted on June 13, 2013, with the single "No More Dream" from the album "2 Cool 4 Skool," which drew attention for its socially conscious lyrics. In subsequent years, BTS released several successful albums, including "Dark & Wild" (2014), "Wings" (2016), "Love Yourself: Tear" (2018), "Map of the Soul: 7" (2020), and "BE" (2020), each solidifying their international presence. The group is known for powerful performances, profound lyrics addressing themes of self-identity, mental health, and social justice, and active engagement with fans known as ARMY. BTS became the first Korean artists to top the Billboard Hot 100 with the song "Dynamite" and have received numerous awards, including American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and Grammy nominations. In 2022, members began their mandatory military service, with plans to reunite as a full group in June 2025.
