A 1989 American post-apocalyptic action film directed by Albert Pyun. Set in the early 21st century, civilization has been decimated by a plague and social anarchy. Along with Nady Simmons (Deborah Richter), a young woman seeking to escape the ravaged city, Gibson pursues Fender's gang across the desolate landscapes of America. Through numerous confrontations, Gibson battles Fender's henchmen, showcasing his exceptional martial arts skills. In a climactic fight aboard an abandoned ship, Gibson and Fender engage in a brutal duel, with Gibson emerging victorious by killing Fender and freeing Pearl. Pearl then continues her journey to Atlanta to deliver the information needed to create the vaccine, offering humanity a glimmer of hope for survival. The film received mixed reviews but has since gained a cult following due to its intense action sequences and Jean-Claude Van Damme's charismatic performance.
