Russian rapper, songwriter, and composer, born on July 22, 1983, in Moscow. Son of producer Alexander Tolmatsky, he received education at the British International School and continued studies in Switzerland, where he was introduced to hip-hop. Upon returning to Moscow, he began his musical career under the pseudonym Detsl in 1999. His debut album "Who Are You?" (2000) became a sensation, selling over a million copies and making him a youth idol. In 2001, he released his second album "Street Fighter." In subsequent years, he experimented with various genres, including reggae and dub, and released albums under different pseudonyms, including DetslЪ. His work became more socially and politically oriented, especially in albums like "Dancehall Mania" (2014), "MXXXIII" (2014), and "No Matter Who's at the Helm" (2018). He also collaborated with various artists and participated in musical projects, including an acoustic album with the band "Animal Jazz." Detsl passed away on February 3, 2019, in Izhevsk from a heart attack after performing at a private party.
