Gemini Man

The 2019 American science fiction action film directed by Ang Lee follows Henry Brogan (Will Smith), a 51-year-old elite assassin working for the Defense Intelligence Agency. After completing his 72nd mission, Henry decides to retire but soon becomes the target of a mysterious young operative who can predict his every move. To his horror, Henry discovers that his pursuer is a clone of himself, created under the secret "GEMINI" program led by the ruthless Clayton Varris (Clive Owen). With the assistance of agent Danny Zakarewski (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and former colleague Baron (Benedict Wong), Henry seeks to uncover the truth behind the program and stop Varris. The film delves into themes of identity, morality, and the consequences of cloning. Despite high-tech visual effects, including 120 frames per second filming and digital de-aging of Will Smith, the film received mixed reviews and grossed approximately $173 million worldwide against a budget of $138 million.
