Much Ado About Nothing

A 1993 British romantic comedy film directed by Kenneth Branagh, based on William Shakespeare's play of the same name. The story is set in the Italian city of Messina, where Governor Leonato (Richard Briers) welcomes Don Pedro of Aragon (Denzel Washington) and his entourage after a victorious campaign. Claudio, upon learning of Hero's innocence, deeply regrets his actions and agrees to marry Hero's "cousin," who is revealed to be Hero herself. Benedick and Beatrice also confess their love and decide to marry. The film concludes with a double wedding and general reconciliation.
