Resident Evil: Retribution

A 2012 American science fiction action horror film directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, it is the fifth installment in the "Resident Evil" film series, based on the video game series of the same name. The film begins with the protagonist Alice (Milla Jovovich) finding herself in an underground Umbrella Corporation facility located in the Arctic after an attack on the ship "Arcadia." Alice is subjected to interrogation and torture by Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory), who is under Umbrella's control. Suddenly, the security system malfunctions, allowing Alice to escape. She discovers she is in a massive underground complex where Umbrella simulates various cities to test the T-virus. Alice traverses simulations of Moscow, New York, and Tokyo, battling hordes of zombies and mutants. Meanwhile, a rescue team, including Leon S. Kennedy (Johann Urb), Ada Wong (Li Bingbing), and Barry Burton (Kevin Durand), infiltrates the facility to save Alice. Together, they confront clones of previously deceased characters, such as Rain Ocampo (Michelle Rodriguez) and Carlos Oliveira (Oded Fehr), used by Umbrella as soldiers. In the film's climax, Alice and her allies fight against Jill and Rain, who possesses superhuman abilities due to the Las Plagas parasite. After an intense battle, Alice manages to free Jill from Umbrella's control and defeat Rain. The film concludes with Alice, Jill, and the survivors arriving in a devastated Washington, D.C., where they meet Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts) at the White House, now the last stronghold of humanity against the hordes of zombies and mutants. Wesker injects Alice with the T-virus, restoring her superhuman abilities, and they prepare for the final battle for humanity's survival.
