Ruby Sparks

An American romantic fantasy comedy-drama film released in 2012, directed by Valerie Faris and Jonathan Dayton, and written by Zoe Kazan. The story follows Calvin Weir-Fields (Paul Dano), a young novelist who achieved massive success at an early age but now struggles with writer's block and forming relationships. Following his therapist's (Elliott Gould) advice, he begins writing about a woman who loves his dog.
