South Korean male music group formed in 2015 by Pledis Entertainment, consisting of thirteen members: S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino. The group debuted on May 26, 2015, with the mini-album "17 Carat," which became the longest-charting K-pop album of the year in the US and the only debut album to appear on Billboard's "10 Best K-Pop Albums of 2015" list. SEVENTEEN is known as a "self-producing" group, with members actively involved in songwriting, music production, and choreography, distinguishing them from other K-pop acts. The group is divided into three sub-units: hip-hop, vocal, and performance, each specializing in a specific area. In 2023, their EPs "FML" and "Seventeenth Heaven" set sales records, with "FML" becoming the best-selling album of the year according to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) and earning the group their first MAMA Award for Album of the Year. In 2024, SEVENTEEN made history as the first K-pop group to perform on the main stage of the Glastonbury Festival, highlighting their growing international recognition. To commemorate their tenth anniversary, the group released their fifth studio album, "Happy Burstday," on May 26, 2025, featuring sixteen tracks, including solo songs from each member and collaborations with American producers Pharrell Williams and Timbaland. SEVENTEEN also embarked on the successful "Right Here World Tour" in 2024–2025, covering 30 concerts across Asia and North America, with a total attendance exceeding one million fans. Their fan club, "Carat," symbolizes the value and brilliance fans bring to their career. SEVENTEEN continues to solidify their position as one of the most influential and successful K-pop groups, combining musical expertise, energetic performances, and a strong connection with their audience.
