A Russian indie-pop duo formed in 2013 by sisters Anastasia and Maria Muravyova, who grew up in Dolgoprudny, near Moscow, in a musical family: their father was a guitarist, their mother a pianist, and their grandmother taught classical guitar. With formal musical education, the sisters began composing songs, leading to the creation of the group "Sisters." Their early works include the EPs "Not About Me" and "Windows." In 2020, they signed with Musica36, a label founded by Skryptonite, and released their debut album "When There Were Waves," which was noted by critics for its experimental approach and atmospheric sound. The duo's musical style blends elements of indie-pop, art-pop, and psychedelia, influenced by artists like James Blake and Frank Ocean. The sisters actively collaborate with producer Pavel Petrenko and continue to develop their artistry, releasing new singles and participating in musical projects.
