Russian rock band from Saint Petersburg, founded on May 27, 1994, by Alexander Vasilyev and Alexander Morozov, who had previously collaborated in the group "Mitra." The band's name is derived from a poem by Sasha Chyorny, lines of which inspired the song "Pod surdinku" from their debut album "Pyl'naya byl'." This album, recorded at the Buff Theatre studio, unexpectedly gained popularity, selling around 10,000 copies in Saint Petersburg. In subsequent years, the band released several successful albums, including "Kollektsioner oruzhiya" (1996), "Fonar' pod glazom" (1997), "Granatovyy albom" (1998), "25-y kadr" (2001), "Rezonans" (2014), and "Obman zreniya" (2012), the latter being recognized as the best album of the year by the "Chart Dozen" award. The song "Orkestr" from the album "Rezonans" received awards for "Best Song" and "Chart Leader" in 2015 at the same ceremony. Splean's musical style blends elements of alternative rock, art rock, indie rock, pop rock, and psychedelic rock, characterized by profound lyrics and a melancholic atmosphere. The band actively tours, participates in festivals, and continues to be one of the most influential rock groups in Russia.
