Russian singer, songwriter, and musician, born on May 23, 1972, in Vidnoye, Moscow Oblast. He began his musical career in 1986 by forming the punk band Infection, which existed until 1992 and released two studio albums: "Masturbation" (1990) and "Hole for the Navel" (1992). After serving in the army, Borzov embarked on a solo career, transitioning from punk to psychedelic rock. His first solo album, "Submergence," was released in 1992, followed by "Closed" in 1994. He gained significant recognition in 1997 with the release of the album "Puzzle," featuring the song "Loshadka," which sparked public controversy due to its reference to cocaine and was censored by some radio stations. In 2000, he released the album "Superman," which included the hits "Three Words" and "Riding on a Star," solidifying his status as a leading figure in the Russian rock scene. Subsequent albums include "Splinter" (2002), "For the Sake of Love" (2004), "Internally" (2010), "Acid God" (2018), and "A Drop of the Creator's Blood" (2020). Borzov also participated in theatrical productions, notably portraying Kurt Cobain in Yuri Grymov's play "Nirvana" in 2003, and collaborated with artists such as Bi-2, SALUKI, and L'One. His work blends elements of psychedelic rock, alternative rock, and post-punk, characterized by emotional depth and experimental sound.
