Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

A 2003 American science fiction action film directed by Jonathan Mostow. Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Nick Stahl, Claire Danes, and Kristanna Loken, it is a direct sequel to the 1991 film Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The evil artificial intelligence Skynet sends a highly advanced T-X Terminator (Kristanna Loken) back in time to ensure a machine uprising by killing the best members of the future human resistance, as John Connor's whereabouts are unknown. The Resistance sends back a reprogrammed T-850 Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) to protect John Connor and Kate Brewster. The Terminator franchise follows humanity's war against machines and time travel. The main characters of this franchise are people: Sarah Connor, John Connor and Kyle Reese, as well as robot terminators (mainly the T-800 terminator played by Arnold Schwarzenegger). The center of events is the battle for survival between the almost extinct humanity and artificial intelligence, which is Skynet. Skynet is positioned as the US computer system "Global Digital Defense Network", developed by Cyberdyne Systems, which becomes independent and uncontrollable. Soon after activation, Skynet perceives all people as a threat to its security and decides to destroy all of humanity.
