The Diamond Arm

A 1969 crime comedy directed by Leonid Gaidai. The film follows an ordinary Soviet citizen, Semyon Gorbunkov (Yuri Nikulin), who accidentally becomes involved in a smuggling operation when criminals mistake him for an accomplice and hide diamonds in his cast. As a result, he gets caught up in a tangled adventure with smugglers Lyolya (Andrei Mironov) and Graf (Anatoly Papanov), all while being closely watched by law enforcement. The film became one of the most beloved Soviet comedies, featuring iconic scenes, witty dialogues, and memorable musical numbers.
