A 1971 Soviet comedy that has become a cult classic. The story follows kindergarten teacher Yevgeny Ivanovich Troshkin (Yevgeny Leonov), who is drawn into a criminal case due to his uncanny resemblance to a notorious thief known as "Docent." At the request of the police, he must impersonate his criminal double and infiltrate a gang to recover a stolen golden helmet of Alexander the Great. Troshkin has to learn how to talk, move, and behave like a real criminal while also attempting to reform his new "friends" — Vasily Alibabaevich (Radner Muratov), Kosoy (Georgy Vitsin), and Khmyr (Savely Kramarov). Filled with iconic quotes, hilarious situations, and a heartfelt message, the film remains one of the most beloved Soviet movies.
