The Last Frontier

A 2020 war drama directed by Vadim Shmelyov, based on true events. The film tells the story of the heroic stand of cadets from the Podolsk military schools, who were sent to the front lines in October 1941 to defend Moscow from the advancing German army. These young soldiers, most of whom had no combat experience, faced overwhelming odds and fought at the cost of their own lives, buying crucial time for the Red Army to prepare for the defense of the capital. A story of bravery, sacrifice, and the price of victory, told through the experiences of several main characters.
