The Rock

The 1996 American action thriller directed by Michael Bay centers on a group of rogue U.S. Marines led by General Francis Hummel (Ed Harris), who seize Alcatraz Island and take tourists hostage, threatening to launch rockets armed with VX nerve gas into San Francisco unless the government compensates the families of fallen soldiers.
