Soviet and Russian rock band from Moscow, founded in 1988 by Maxim Pokrovsky, Vitaly Akshevsky, and Anton Yakomulsky. The group became a member of the Moscow Rock Laboratory, where it received its name. Since the early 1990s, the band gained popularity due to its unique style, combining pop-punk, alternative rock, punk rock, art-punk, ska-punk, and experimental rock. Their work is characterized by ironic, parodic, and absurd lyrics, including songs in fictional languages, such as "Haru Mamburu." In 1992, the album "Kaprizy manekenshchits" was released, followed by "Sibirskaya lyubov" in 1995, recorded at the "Mosfilm" studio with the participation of a symphony orchestra and the FSB musical ensemble. The band also released the dilogy "Schastliva, potomu chto beremenna," consisting of "blue" and "green" parts, featuring hits like "Moskovsky romans" and "Liliputskaya lyubov." In 2000, the single "Matnaya pesnya" caused public resonance and legal proceedings. In 2006, the song "Idem na Vostok!" from the film "Turkish Gambit" received the "MTV Russia Movie Awards" in the "Best Soundtrack" category. The band actively performed on international stages, including concerts in the USA in 2015. In 2018, the group celebrated its 30th anniversary with a grand concert at the State Kremlin Palace and the release of a documentary film about its history. In 2021, the album "Parfyumeriya" was released, featuring 11 tracks, including the song "Koroleva," which entered the "Chart Dozen" of "Nashe Radio." The band continues to actively perform and record music, remaining a significant phenomenon on the Russian rock scene.
