Ponyo

The 2008 Japanese animated fantasy film, produced by Studio Ghibli and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, follows the adventures of five-year-old Sōsuke (Hiroki Doi), who lives on a seaside cliff and discovers a goldfish trapped in a glass jar, naming her Ponyo (Yuria Nara), unaware that she is the daughter of the sea wizard Fujimoto (George Tokoro) and the sea goddess Granmamare (Yūki Amami). Fascinated by the human world and Sōsuke, Ponyo desires to become human, leading to a disruption in the natural balance: her escape from the underwater realm and use of magic cause a massive tsunami that floods the coastal town.
