Solo: A Star Wars Story

A 2018 science fiction film directed by Ron Howard, serving as a Star Wars spin-off that explores Han Solo’s early years. Set several years before the original trilogy, young Han (Alden Ehrenreich) dreams of leaving Corellia with Qi’ra (Emilia Clarke), but their plans fall apart, and he ends up joining the Empire. After deserting, he meets Tobias Beckett (Woody Harrelson) and becomes a smuggler. During a heist, he reunites with Qi’ra, who now works for crime lord Dryden Vos (Paul Bettany). Han, Qi’ra, Beckett, and Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo) embark on a mission to steal valuable coaxium from Kessel. They are aided by charismatic pilot Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) and his droid L3-37 (Phoebe Waller-Bridge). After the heist, Han discovers Beckett’s betrayal and confronts him, while Qi’ra kills Vos and secretly contacts Darth Maul (Ray Park, voiced by Sam Witwer). In the finale, Han outplays Lando in sabacc, winning the Millennium Falcon and setting off for new adventures.
