Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back

A 1980 science fiction film directed by Irvin Kershner, the second installment of the original Star Wars trilogy. After the destruction of the Death Star, the Rebels hide on the icy planet Hoth, but the Empire discovers them and launches an attack. Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) travels to Dagobah to train under Jedi Master Yoda (Frank Oz), while Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), and C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) seek refuge but are captured by Darth Vader (David Prowse, voiced by James Earl Jones) in Cloud City, ruled by Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams). Han is frozen in carbonite and handed over to bounty hunter Boba Fett (Jeremy Bulloch). Sensing danger, Luke abandons his training and faces Vader in a duel, where he learns the shocking truth—Darth Vader is actually his father, Anakin Skywalker. Defeated and losing his hand, Luke is rescued by Leia and his friends, while Vader continues his relentless pursuit.
