Star Wars: The Clone Wars

A 2008 animated science fiction film directed by Dave Filoni, serving as a prologue to the TV series of the same name and part of the Star Wars universe. Set during the Clone Wars, the Republic is locked in battle against the Separatists. Jedi Knights Anakin Skywalker (Matt Lanter) and Obi-Wan Kenobi (James Arnold Taylor) lead fights against the droid army when they receive a new mission—to rescue Jabba the Hutt’s kidnapped son, who has been taken by a rival faction. Anakin is assigned a new apprentice, Padawan Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein), and together they embark on the mission. Meanwhile, Count Dooku (Corey Burton) and his assassin Asajj Ventress (Nika Futterman) manipulate Jabba into believing that the Jedi are responsible for the abduction. Overcoming battles and traps, Anakin and Ahsoka rescue the child and return him to Jabba, securing the Hutt clan’s support for the Republic. The film introduces key relationships and serves as an entry point to the series.
