Nochnye Snaipery

Russian rock band formed on August 19, 1993, in Saint Petersburg by Diana Arbenina and Svetlana Surganova. Initially, the group functioned as an acoustic duo, with Arbenina on guitar and vocals, and Surganova on violin and guitar, also sharing vocal duties. In 1994, they moved to Saint Petersburg, where they began performing actively in clubs and festivals, gradually gaining popularity. In 1998, the band released their debut album "A Drop of Tar in a Barrel of Honey," and in 2000, the album "Rubicon," which brought them widespread recognition thanks to the song "31st Spring." In 2002, Svetlana Surganova left the group, after which Diana Arbenina continued the band's activities as the sole lead singer. Over the years, Nochnye Snaipery have released more than ten studio albums, including "Tsunami" (2002), "SMS" (2005), "Bonnie and Clyde" (2007), "Army2009" (2009), "4" (2012), "Boy on the Ball" (2014), "Only Lovers Will Survive" (2016), and "1993 vol.1" (2021). The band is known for its profound lyrics, combining poetry and social themes, as well as a variety of musical styles — from acoustic to alternative rock. Nochnye Snaipery actively tour, participate in major festivals, and remain a significant presence on the Russian rock scene.
